g. DESCRIPTION: A contractor was exposing the line so that a new communications line could cross over it and struck the 1/2 inch service line with a shovel, causing natural gas to release to the atmosphere. Crews have responded and controlled the release at 1253 hours. The fire department responded and closed the roads in front of the residence however, no evacuations were necessary. The road has been re-opened. No waterways impacted.
