g. DESCRIPTION: Due to a malfunctioning gauge, approximately 50 barrels of asphalt overflowed from a 2,000-barrel capacity tank onto the ground at an outdoor site. On-site personnel addressed the issue and contained the overflow from the manway cover. No waterways were affected. The local fire department was notified after a small fire ignited at the top of the tank. Firefighters arrived, were guided to the scene, and extinguished the fire without incident. An environmental specialist has been called in to assist with the cleanup. The rest of the facility continues to operate normally. There were no reported injuries or evacuations.
