Orignal Description:Per reporting party: The driver of a vehicle was sitting in their car when a fire started in the engine, possibly from the battery. The fire then spread to the fuel tank. There was a release of 8 gallons of fuel and about 100 gallons of suppression water that was used. which then spread out to the asphalt and into a nearby storm drain.

SITUATION UPDATE:
The reporting party states that the release did not make its way into a storm drain. The release was stopped and controlled in the gutter. The City Street Department is currently cleaning up the spill.
