DESCRIPTION: | Reporting party states - pressure from inside of an anhydrous ammonia storage tank caused a glass side panel to break causing the release; the liquid anhydrous ammonia released for less than 2 minutes; there is still a minor vapor release at the time of this report. A welder is en route to the facility and should arrive this afternoon to fully contain the release. The liquid anhydrous ammonia that released quickly vaporized and either dissipated or was contained to the facility. |
