g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, the City of Napa experienced an intermittent discharge of one of our plant process chemicals. It is under control. The bulk of the listed material went into our raw water pipeline, but there was a small discharge of the material into Conn Creek. The concentration of the material discharged into Conn Creek was 0.000022 milligrams per liter. The chemical is injected into the raw water pipeline, and the pipeline is fed from Lake Henessey. The cause of the release was related to a power outage followed by an operator error where an individual failed to closed a valve. There were no signs of any wildlife kill, and there were no signs of disturbance or discoloration. The bulk of the chemical held in the pipeline and did not contaminate the creek.
