Orignal Description:Per NRC report "Caller states a steamship caught fire at the incident location and has the potential to release diesel and other oils into the Napa river. Local authorities on scene extinguishing the fire." At this time there is not a reported release of hazardous material. The size of the vessel was not reported by NRC nor it's fuel compacity or current fuel load.

SITUATION UPDATE:

Coast Guard Update: The fire was extinguished approximately 19:30 hours. The location of the vessel is 38.08342 / -122.24785. The vessel is an abandon passenger vessel named the "Grand Romance" that is 108 feet long , weight 99 tons and was already partially sunk. Per Coast Guard it was possibly being occupied by transients. Coast Guard indicated there was no fuel on board and no reported leak. Coast Guard will be conducting on-sight investigation in the morning.
