g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, Brenntag, a chemical distribution company, experienced a mechanical failure of one their 55 gallons drums in the process of distributing a drum of the listed solvent material at their facility. The incident occurred at 0400 this morning. 55 gallons of the solvent was spilled initially, and it impacted the concrete at the spill site. Approximately 5 gallons of this solvent impacted a storm drain basin, and another 1/4 gallon impacted another storm drain basin. Both of the affected storm drain basins have been cleaned, and the actual storm drain does not seem to have been impacted. GrayMar Environmental Services performed the clean-up. The 55 gallon drum failed due to pressure build up within the drum caused by the solvent.
