Orignal Description:Per the Reporting Party : A third party excavating with a unknown device damaged a 1 inch underground natural gas supply line causing the release of material into the atmosphere. The release started at 1010 hours today and is still on going. The Fire Department responded to the scene. The property management company evacuated the apartment complex of it's 6 units; it is unknown how many people were evacuated as they had already left prior to So Cal Gas crew arriving on scene. There were no roadway closures noted. There were no injuries or fires involved.

SITUATION UPDATE:
Per the reporting party, at approximately 1415 this afternoon, the gas was brought under control, and the evacuations were lifted at 1430. Crews are currently making permanent repairs.
