Orignal Description:Per reporting party: Last night, while walking along the beach, tar balls were noticed on the beach and over 50 dead birds, many coated in oil, scattered along a one-mile stretch from the pier northward to the end of the beach. The birds belonged to various species, some looks like recently died and there were tarballs scattered around as well. Additionally, a deceased baby whale had washed ashore, though it has since disappeared. Reporting party was able to capture a video of it before it was gone and of the dead birds that are now scattered along the beach. There is a Vessel CS Rene DESCARTES located about 1 mile from the shore, but unknown if related to incident.

SITUATION UPDATE:
USCG, CDWF - OSPR, and State Parks completed the investigation, 31 deciced coromrants looked old because they were skeletonized, No evidence of oil on bird or in the area. That information is as of 1800 today.
