Orignal Description:Per the reporting party: A 3rd party contractor damaged a 3/4 inch steel service line causing a release of natural gas in a residential area. The release began at 0948 hours and gas was controlled at 1050 hours. The local fire department arrived on scene and implemented evacuation orders for 20 people across 15 homes. At the time of report, the evacuation orders are still in place. Everest St. is closed from Downey Ave. to Brookshire Ave. with no estimated time of reopening.
