Orignal Description:Per reporting party, sewer roots going into a horizontal section of a sewer pipe, causing the release of approximately 3015 gallons of sewage from a maintenance hole onto an unpaved surface. The release began on 05/10/2024 at 0700 hours and was stopped on 05/11/2024 at 1630 hours. No waterways were impacted. The reporting party was responsible for overseeing the cleanup process, which involved collecting wet soil in buckets and ensuring proper disposal.

SITUATION UPDATE:
Reporting Party called in to provide an update : Total release amount is 527 gallons of sewage that spilled onto the surface of the hillside. No waterways or storm drains affected. The material soaked into the soil and was unrecoverable.
