DESCRIPTION: Per reporting party, A freight train (MPDRV08), struck a trespasser at a railroad crossing, The train stopped and the Anderson Police, Fire and Medical is Onsite conducting an investigation. This incident resulting in 1 fatality. There were no derailments, and no hazardous materials were released. Once authorized, the train will continue on its assigned route.

Per NRC: Caller is reporting a grade crossing incident involving a fatality. Caller stated a southbound freight train struck a trespass at the grade crossing which is controlled by gates and lights. Caller
stated this incident is on a passenger train line. Caller stated there are no passenger train delays at this time.
