Orignal Description:Reporting Party states - A sewer main was plugged causing the release of sewage underground into the dirt and into adjacent sewage pipes. The reporting party was able CCTV the line and saw the blockage. The sewage is releasing from a joint in the ground, none of the released substance ever reached the street. No water impacted, all of the sewage was contained within the pipes. City of Sacramento was called this morning regarding the spill but the release most likely happened last night 05/12/2024. The reporting party is conducting spill mitigation at this time.

SITUATION UPDATE:
The reporting party is updating the quantity of sewage released to 18,997 gallons. Reporting party states they are in the process of recapturing the sewage and cleaning up the release.
