g. DESCRIPTION: A recreation boat caught on fire due to unknown reasons while on Lake Perris. CalFire was notified of the incident and responded to the scene. The occupants of the boat were safely evacuated and the fire extinguished. On-site personnel observed a sheen, silver in color, in the vicinity of the boat which has since dissipated on its own. The boat remains afloat and is currently near the east side of Alessandro Island. The owner/operator is aware of their responsibility to recover the boat from the waterway. The action is expected to take place on 05/30/2023.
