g. DESCRIPTION: Per the NRC report: The caller is reporting a release of bilge slop onto the dock and into Long Beach port from a scrap vessel. The cause of the release was due to a siphon overflow while removing the bilge slop from the vessel. The caller states the vessel was out of the water and being prepared to be cut up from scrap metal. Remedial Actions: BOOMs applied, absorbents applied, material contained, clean up crew on-site, cleanup completed, contractor has been hired. Sheen Information: RAINBOW. Sheen Length: 100 feet. Sheen Width: 50 feet.
