Orignal Description:Per the caller they have a derailment of 3 box cars due to an uncontrolled movement in the Railyard possibly due to a handbreak failure, exact cause still under investigation. The cars are stopped and no longer moving with a contractor contacted for re railment.

Caller stated that the 3 box cars are in San Jose Creek but are not releasing any hazardous materials.


The derailed cars are as follows:

DDTX-467249 - Leaning - Mixed Freight

The caller confirms that no hazardous materials have been released as a result of the event. Contractors are present at the scene with the necessary equipment to re-rail the railcars, but it will take some time to complete the recovery process.
