Orignal Description:Reporting party states two semi-trucks collided causing a spill of an unknown amount of diesel from each of their saddle tanks onto the asphalt, and into a storm drain. It is unknown if the storm drain has a catch basin, or leads into a waterway. The accident occurred on the Northbound 15, south of the 8 freeway. Fire Hazmat is on scene laying down an inflatable pool for catchment and will conduct the clean up. The CalTrans supervisor is enroute to the scene. Currently the 1, 2 and 3 lanes are closed on the Northbound 15 proper. ETA for reopening is unknown.
Update(s): 11/30/2023 01:16:13 AM - Per NRC Report "Caller reported two tractor trailers were involved in a traffic accident and discharged diesel fuel onto the ground and into a nearby storm drain. There was one injury. Incident location: I-15, county: San Diego, just south of I-8, City: San Diego.

It is unsure if the storm drain leads to a water way or drinking water. A contractor will inspect the storm drain in the later today to make these determinations.

It is unsure if the storm drain leads to a water way or drinking water. A contractor will inspect the storm drain in the later today to make these determinations.
