g. DESCRIPTION: Per reporting party, an unknown sheen measuring approximately 100 feet x 1600 feet has been discovered by the reporting party. A contractor has been dispatched to investigate the source, which is believed to be an outfall located underneath the dock. This issue has occurred previously, and booms were previously deployed under the dock to contain it. The Los Angeles Port Police and contractors are currently on site. The responsible party is unknown, but it is suspected to be the Port of Los Angeles. The situation is under investigation to confirm the source of the sheen.

Per NRC Report # 1399860, "The caller reported an unknown sheen from an unknown source on the Pacific Ocean at the incident location. The caller believes the sheen is coming from their facilities pipeline. The caller stated plugs in the pipeline had previously failed causing oil to seep through the soil into the outfall and into the Pacific Ocean. Nothing has been confirmed, and the previous incident took place in February 14 2024. Previous NRC report #1391554. Two similar incidents took place after this report as well."
