DESCRIPTION: Per reporting party, On 09/27/2024, unauthorized personnel entered an abandoned shopping mall and cut cables, leading to a release of 5 gallons of mineral oil containing 9.1 PPM of PCBs. The release was quickly stopped and contained, with no impact on waterways. A contractor managed the cleanup, removing approximately five drums of contaminated debris, which were transported to the Marysville Service Center. As a result, all traces of oil were effectively removed from the incident site.
