g. DESCRIPTION: The reporting party states that due to a fire, there are 57,120 pounds of lithium-ion batteries currently burning. The fire department is on the scene and trying to extinguish the fire. The reporting party states that 5,000 gallons of water per minute were used on the fire. The fire department began using water at 0330 hours and stopped at 0420 hours. The reporting party is concerned that the water run-off is impacting the local storm drain. The fire department plans to let the fire burn out and will remain on scene for structural protection of the surrounding buildings. The cause of the fire is unknown, and the incident will be under investigation.
