g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party: Due to a fire at a residence, the natural gas meter and riser were melted which caused a release of natural gas. The release began at 1441 hours and was controlled at 1519 hours. The local fire dept. arrived on scene and put out the fire, however they are still on scene fighting a nearby vegetation fire. It is unknown if the house caused the vegetation fire or the vegetation fire caused the house fire. Southwest Gas personnel will conduct repairs to the damaged equipment when they are able to.
