g. DESCRIPTION: Per the reporting party, the Monterey Fire Department responded to the incident at 2017 in the evening and discovered a leak of treated water from an unknown source. They are uncertain of when it began, and it is leaking at a rate of about 20 gallons per hour. The water is upwelling from the asphalt, and the cause may have been from a recent construction project. It appears to be a leak in one of the pipes. The City of Monterey Public Works determined that it was not sewage and confirmed that it was treated water. The clean up is unknown at the time of the report.
