g. DESCRIPTION: | Per the reporting party, on 11/29/2024, at 0521 in the morning, the Cal Fire St. Helena Command Center received the notification of this incident. A sanitation truck with a 900 gallon capacity sewage tank experienced a roll over. The fuel tank of the sanitation truck was ruptured causing the release of 50 gallons of diesel. The sanitation truck also had a 200 gallon tank carrying a water and soap solution. This tank of water and soap solution released about 20 gallons. The sewage tank was reported to contain only about 30 gallons of sewage when the accident occurred. The vehicle is located off of the road surface. The spilled fluids are being absorbed into the soil, and Cal Fire responders built a dyke to contain the fluids in a roadside ditch. No waterways were impacted by this spill. There were two major injuries, and two people were transported to Hospitals. One individual went to the Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa, and the other injured person was flown out to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. Silverado Trail is closed from Dunaweal Lane all the way to Lark Mead Lane. At the time of the report, a tow truck service was en route to the incident. | ||
